Who would have thought that there would be a full design centre just for interior design. Definitely not me thats for sure. My small, wide eyed interior self strolled over to the design centre in Chelsea Harbour and was greeted with so much interior inspiration!
Companies such as Cole and Son, Morris and co and many more were gathered in this spherical building of interior heaven which I fully emersed myself in. I was very clearly able to see the newest trends, there were many what I like to call, cloud sofas with this beautiful textural fabric dotted everywhere around the space, as well as lots of cream, white and grey colours. My eyes burned with the amount of interior wonders that I could perceive.
I noticed whilst at the design centre i was greeted with so many different surface designs, and decided that if i were to be a surface design company it would be Cole and Son, ooh it is a bit of me. It displayed a lot of leopard prints and funky dots which I love! Tropical prints are something that I am really loving at the moment I don't know about you, I love a clustered design, with really detailed images almost like you are walking through the jungle. I feel like that is a trend at the moment and I am in great favour of that right now.
As a student, I really appreciate places like this, yes I know I know it is not a place designed by me but for ACTUAL professionals (I'm getting there) but it was so amazing to be able to get a sense of what it feels like being an interior designer in the working world. Talking to people about the clients they have and what designs they are doing for their homes/places has really motivated me to want to just get out there already! The design centre in Chelsea harbour is a fantastic way to find inspiration and a great place for people like me to get some real experiences, so you student and Designers who haven't been there already (I don't know how you haven't its AMAZING) you best get down there as you wont regret it!
